Legal Resources
The lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and queer populations faces legal challenges unique to
them. Employment discrimination, hospital visitation rights, civil union vs marriage rights, custody arrangements, and a myriad
of other issues face the community. Our community has to fight FOR many things that are freely given to most in society,
and fight AGAINST what most in society will never experience. Here we have listed some legal resources that are specifically
devoted to serving our needs.

Legal is an organization pursuing high-impact litigation, public education and advocacy on behalf of equality and civil rights
for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and people with HIV.
National Center For Lesbian Rights NCLR is a national legal organization committed to advancing the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender people and their families through litigation, public policy advocacy, and public education.
ACLU of Arkansas The ACLU and ACLUF are dedicated to promoting, defending and expanding
civil liberties in Arkansas. These liberties include free speech, religious freedom, racial and ethnic justice, due process,
privacy, LGBT rights, and reproductive freedom.

The Trevor Project The Trevor Project operates the nation's only 24/7 crisis & suicide prevention
helpline for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. If you or a friend are feeling lost or alone call
