Legal Resources

The lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and queer populations faces legal challenges unique to them. Employment discrimination, hospital visitation rights, civil union vs marriage rights, custody arrangements, and a myriad of other issues face the community.  Our community has to fight FOR many things that are freely given to most in society, and fight AGAINST what most in society will never experience. Here we have listed some legal resources that are specifically devoted to serving our needs.

Lambda Legal

Lambda Legal is an organization pursuing high-impact litigation, public education and advocacy on behalf of equality and civil rights for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and people with HIV.

National Center For Lesbian Rights

ACLU of Arkansas
The ACLU and ACLUF are dedicated to promoting, defending and expanding civil liberties in Arkansas. These liberties include free speech, religious freedom, racial and ethnic justice, due process, privacy, LGBT rights, and reproductive freedom.

Health Resources

The Trevor Project operates the nation's only 24/7 crisis & suicide prevention helpline for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. If you or a friend are feeling lost or alone call The Trevor Helpline. There is hope, there is help.
